ThreeTon New Media & Marketing is looking for someone special to represent their amazing client this summer on a cross-Atlantic tour! Could it be you?
As a mature, responsible, reliable and dynamic young adult, you will be acting on behalf of ThreeTon and their client, Canada Bread, to ensure their name, brand and values are upheld as you cruise Atlantic Canada on a brand awareness and promotional campaign.
You will be outfitted with branded clothing, a vehicle, signage, promotional materials, prizing and a summer puzzler game to help you engage and connect with live audiences at festivals and grocery outlets throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
The promotional tour will occur from mid-May 2009 through the end of August 2009, with the possibility of an extension at either end. Working hours will include two shifts per day. These shifts will range from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., but not limited to these timeframes. A detailed schedule of extensive tour dates and locations will be provided and must be maintained at all times.
In addition to being trustworthy, accountable and outgoing, you will also be a person who is not afraid to attract and command attention and is great working with crowds, kids and business personnel.
Other qualifications include:
a clean driving record (no accidents as a result of your negligence)
extensive knowledge of Atlantic Canada
comfortable using a map and navigating
experience driving a van or SUV
bondable
experience operating a barbeque (as well as cooking with one!)
knowledge and use of a digital camera
excellent time management skills
ability to work within a defined budget
experience with expense reports
stat tracking and reporting capabilities
marketing/promotions experience
excellent communicator
team player
bi-lingual or workable French considered an asset
As part of a two-person team, you will be required to:
adhere to a schedule that targets markets, locations and events for brand outreach and promotion
communicate with business personnel before and after onsite visits and check-in with contacts on location
arrive on time to assemble and deconstruct summer puzzler game (light manual labour)
engage audiences through use of the summer puzzler game and messaging
document your daily activities for weekly reports
send pictures when SmartMan costume is deemed to be worn in real-time
track location turnout/giveaways/prizing/participation etc for weekly reports
submit expense reports for gas, food on a weekly basis
remain within budget for the duration of the tour
Accommodations will be provided, as well as a vehicle for the duration of the tour. You will be expected to act in a professional manner, treating everyone and everything with respect at all times, both on the job and during down time.
An hourly rate of $12 - $14 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) and a daily spending allowance within budget will be provided. In the instance that you are unable to perform your duties due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be required to contact your supervisor immediately to allow lead time to find a replacement in your absence. You will not be remunerated for the period of time you are unable to perform your duties.
