Public Relations Assistant, EA Canada
EA Canada public relations team seeks PR assistant to support energetic team of publicists on all phases of product and brand public relations for EA SPORTS, EA GAMES and EA SPORTS BIG products, events and other initiatives.

Candidate must have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and creative environment. This team player and strong communicator will work directly with internal partners (public relations, marketing and production teams) both at EA Canada and at Electronic Arts headquarters in Redwood City, Calif., as well as external media in North America in helping to create and execute strategic PR plans for the largest interactive development studio in the world, home to best-selling videogames such as Need for Speed Underground, NBA LIVE and FIFA Soccer.

The PR Assistant is integral in all the day-to-day operations of the PR team, from tracking clips, to distributing marketing/PR materials externally to handling administrative duties.

1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a marketing and/or public relations function.
Ideal candidate is a quick learner, has the ability to multi-task, and is passionate and responsible for his/her work
Works well in deadline-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills and has the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships through constant interaction and follow-up.
Maintains database of assets and has familiarity and experience with communication tools, such as FTP programs, fax machines, media directories, databases and newswires.
Works with EARS PR team to send product to trade and consumer press (online, print, broadcast) for preview and review
Tracks clips, distributes daily clip reports, and maintains database of coverage for EAC titles and helps prepare feedback documents and presentations to internal partners
Assists with product mailings and tracking.
Works closely with Media Lab and Mastering Lab to generate and distribute video assets and early software
Be a strong and valued individual contributor as well as an important and integral part of the PR team.
Attention to detail.
Gaming experience preferred.
Computer proficiency – experience with Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel.
